Kelly Transformed Her Life with PiYo

Beachbody-Challenge-Piyo-KellyK
Kelly K. had let herself go until she discovered PiYo at her local gym.  Since beginning with the program she has shed a staggering 55 lbs and kept it off for over a year.  Read all about her story below:
My youngest son was getting married in Dec of 2011 and I wanted to look good for the wedding. I joined the gym with my soon to be daughter-in law.  I was looking over the class schedule and came across PiYo, I had never heard of it, it sounded funny, wasn’t sure how to pronounce it, and had no idea really of what it would be like.  I must say after the first few months of classes, at times I was almost in tears at the end.  Not from pain, though there was pain, (good pain), but from the realization of how far I had let myself go over the years.
I’m not the most coordinated person in the world, I was hesitant to do some of the exercises at first, due to an old back injury (herniated disc), but now it’s no problem.  I have balance, I have a waist line again, and I have muscle definition. My boys say I look ten years younger! I have lost 55 lbs. and have kept it off for over a year now.  I like that it challenges me every time. I always feel that I have had a good workout afterwards.  I have more muscle tone now that I have ever had.
Oh, and I know how to pronounce it correctly now!  I’m not at my goal yet, but I am going to get there, and PiYo is going to help!  The before picture was from a family hike up Big Cottonwood Canyon. My boys took turns lagging behind with me since I was physically not up to speed with the rest. Now I joke with them that I will have a six pack before they do!
There are a lot of things in life that I cannot control, but taking care of myself, that I can control. PiYo is a big part of how I take care of myself.  It makes me feel good when I keep going to class every week, and see that I can do this and stick with it. I love that it has helped me be more coordinated, confident, and physically fit. It does it all; cardio, strength and stretch.  I know the consequences of letting yourself go and not taking care of yourself. I am not about to go back there again.
